Pros
great training and structured pay. BHP greatly focused on training for all individuals, whether you were an admin assistant or a Sr. manager/VP. pay follows suit and they try to be in the top 75% of pay between other companies or similar and smaller size. This is benficial to the employees. Cafeteria plan has excellent food and is very cheap. retirement benefits are plush and worth sticking around for. Good company for sure
Cons
no advancement, too many processes. The upper management lacked direction and understanding of anything shale, their experience was strickly offshore, this led to many misguided directions within upper management. The company wasnt doing too well with their newly acquired shale assets. They were too many processes and too conservative. cost them a ton of money and made many wells unprofitable.
