We encourage our contractors to reach out to the layers of support we have available (your CSCs, Contractor Services, etc.) so that we can help you find solutions when things are going as you'd hoped. BELAY does screen our clients carefully, and we work hard to be honest, transparent, fair, and trustworthy across the board. It's unfortunate that this was not your experience. As for benefits, we cover in all of our contractor interviews that the nature of a 1099 is different from a W-2 employee. There are not health benefits, you are responsible for taxes, there is no PTO, etc. We are open with all of that information from the start. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you find something that is a great fit for you!
