Pros
Strong recession proof government contract company that pays above average salaries and is too big to ever fail. As long as countries continue to put money into military defense, which is forever, this company will continue to grow and make money. There are also a lot of very knowledgeable co-workers around you throughout the entire country you can lean on to help you if you get stuck on a project or task. Almost all the jobs in the New England area also offer flexible work hours, a 9-hour work day so you get every other Friday off and lots of employee morale boosting events.
Cons
While the benefits package is average to slightly better than most companies in the area for medical - dental - eye care & 401k match, the only major drawback is the fact they do not offer sick time (you have to use personal vacation time when you are sick), you also have to accumulate / earn days off each month after only being given 5 days off at the beginning of the year [every other company I've ever worked for gave you all your vacation time at the beginning of the year - not making you earn it throughout the year] and finally like most companies have done, there is no longer a pension plan available.
