Not terrible but stingy - Registered Nurse Avocado Post Acute Employee Review

Since we are one of the biggest facilities in San Diego at 256 beds, we tend to be busy. However, our leadership team is intelligent, helpful and we take the time to train and work with new grad nurses.

3 days of orientation for a float nurse when there are 4 units. Even then when I went in for my 3rd day of orientation I was scolded for not being off orientation and running a wing of the facility. Mind you this was my FIRST job after graduating nursing school. Severely understaffed. I was the only RN in the facility and was pulled from the unit I was taking care of to “perform an RN assessment on a patient that fell” on a different unit. I knew nothing about this patient and did not know their baseline. I was still passing medications for my 20+ patients before I was told to do this. As far as I know, this is the third time they have changed their business name. Before Avocado Post Acute it was something else and now it is Stillwater Post Acute.
