Pros
I will always look back on my time at Aventedge proudly. At the time I had no recent commercial sales experience and was on a working holiday visa(6 months maximum employment), but the training I received from the sales director equipped me with everything I needed to start selling and learn by doing. Constructive ongoing training then helped me to develep further and gave me the confidence to progress. The company culture is great, I made friends who I feel will be friends for life and there were often times i'd really look forward to heading into work. You're always working on different events so the role stays interesting, with the opportunity to attend events which feels great as you get to witness the buzz of what you've been selling. Aventedge is a fast-growing company with some clear ambitions for the future, I was sad that I had to leave to go home but the experience will undoubtedly help me in future roles. Other Pros: Stand up desks, headsets, not strictly KPI driven, no micro-managment, city centre modern office, free coffee, pool table, regular social events, they will sponsor your visa if you're a top performer.
Cons
Could be better incentives/more creativeness and enthusiasm from HR. Collaboration from production department could be better to increase the profitability of events.Feedback from sales department could be taken on board to improve future events/avoid past mistakes. This is still a relatively young company and I have no doubt the above issues are being actively addressed.
