The job is what it is, door-to-door sales. The interview process definitely tries to dress it up as something more than that, but that's just what it is. I know the value of hard work, I grew up working on a farm, but I can tell when hard work is being taken advantage of, and that is certainly what I recognized during my very brief time at Avante Partners. Nobody I met there worked on base + commission, you are pushed to commission only, I strongly suspect because the business would go under if the employees were actually given a base salary. You do not get reimbursed for gas, and sometimes you drive up to 1 hour away (2 hour round trip). You will be expected to knock on people's doors during dinner time, which I can tell you is normally very unpleasant. If you really have no job prospects, maybe this is something to consider. You will definitely get hired and if you work really, really, really hard you might get *something* out of it. But your odds are incredibly slim, and I know for a fact the employee turnover ratio is huge here. Tons of people quit after their first day.
