Pros
Working for a smaller company means each employee usually gets to wear multiple hats. Though officially I do graphic design, I also develop and maintain their marketing websites, app UI design, communicate with 3rd suppliers, and occasional customer support. Get to explore new tech being released while also maintaining legacy systems. Company culture is progressing from pure survival of the fittest to thriving and slowly progressing into new business niches.
Cons
Lots of legacy code that is hard to maintain, but progress to replace it is slowly occurring. Compensation rate is lower than industry standard.
