- Poor compensation (only pay you for 37.5 hours/week, which is touted as a pro since you 'only' have 37.5 hour work weeks, but in reality you're expected to work much more). - Training is poor: I was released from training far too soon, before I fully understood what I was supposed to be doing. Guidelines didn't exist for many situations, and even if said guidelines did exist, you were sometimes expected to find work arounds. My trainer literally came over and yelled at me when I was asking for help. If a trainee is struggling, help them, don't make them afraid to come to you for help. - Work load is too heavy. One of my fellow underwriters literally cried from stress and being overworked and the managers, who were sitting right in front of us, basically said 'that sucks. anyway...'. No care for the mental health of your employees. - Under-staffing is a constant issue.
