Pros

Stable work environment and meaningful public service mission.

Cons

The HDHP medical plan could be improved. While a 20% coinsurance for prescription drugs is understandable, there is currently no cap on out-of-pocket costs for prescriptions. In comparison, my previous employer’s HDHP plan also required 20% coinsurance but had a reasonable monthly cap, which helped limit family healthcare expenses. The lack of a cap here can significantly increase the financial burden for families who rely on ongoing prescriptions.
