Pros
Good place to build experience. Largely filled with good people with some big exceptions. Some opportunity to move horizontally, mileage will vary.
Cons
Slow to adapt to market trends. Difficult to explore new service streams without establishing proven revenue. Client managers can hoard significant internal power left unchecked. Cases of targeted bullying if you’re not in the right side of these client managers, three separate instances of this during my time. Flat hierarchy is false, suffers from internal politics particularly in certain low margin market segments. Incredibly difficult to climb, promotions are reserved for top 10% performers and how insecure management are with losing them. Never felt performance was tied to monetary reward, often told performance was excellent but only received bonuses and pay rises because we were paying well behind market rate.
