Decent pay, but terrible work-life balance and communication - Installer Audio Enhancement Employee Review

Pros

Decent money. Get to spend a lot of time with your coworkers. (Can be a positive if you like them.)

Cons

Terrible work-life balance. You will regularly spend roughly 6 days of the month sleeping in your own bed. Hope you like sleeping in hotel rooms after 12+ hour shifts and sometimes working weekends. AR is currently shifting from a family business to a corporate mega-corp, and they have no clue on how to do it. Rules, expectations, management, and more will change weekly. There is zero line of communication between the installation team and the higher ups. Your complaints will be ignored and you will not be accommodated. You sacrifice having a life outside of the company for far too little benefit, and the company couldn’t care less.

Pros

Great coworkers. Plenty of work. Always great interacting with customers.

Cons

Work life balance can vary dynamically, not for everyone.

Pros

Not really that much to be honest

Cons

Nepo hires. There is no EEO at this company. You either know someone or you leave. Low pay compared to market values, terrible benefits that won't even cover my medically necessary medications. Super long commute and they refuse to have a shuttle from the nearby train station to the building. They also have no busses going through this industrial complex so its either you walk 1.5 miles from the train station across highways with 65 MPH limits or you drive. No other options exist.
