Pros

- It did have a family feeling to it in the beginning - The PMs are great people and great workers Not much else

Cons

- Absolutely not-competitive salary, way below industry standard - Management is completely deaf and blind to PMs voices - No transparency at all (gaslighting happens often) - Working as a localization PM is hard and stressful and takes long hours - no surprises here, it's the same mostly everywhere - but this company does absolutely nothing to organize the work in a productive way - Every suggestion is glossed over as if it was a personal attack instead of a way to make work better - People are forced to go to the office in a global pandemic, when the work is perfectly doable from home - Anti-Covid measures are not enforced in the office - Constant ageism and microaggression (e.g. being made fun of) for being "a millennial" - Utter lack of diversity and no will to improve this (could be due to ignorance, but this is quite a big topic in the world right now so ignorance is not really an excuse) - Unpaid / uncompensated overtime is a daily occurrence - Paid time off is below any other company I've worked at

Pros

* Awesome colleagues, friendly and supportive from day 1 * Inspiring management; all of them felt like role models and mentors * Really lovely and appreciative clients - even the non-Canadians ;):) * Good (up to market) salary, benefits & annual bonus * Support for personal growth (quarterly reviews incl. promotion chat, participation in industry events and CPD, access to online and offline consulting services). Detail: In just two short years, I got the opportunity of working closely with my colleagues in different roles in the company, and thus had a better idea of what I'd like to explore further when asked during the annual review; I loved that flexibility that was based on my skills and wants.

Cons

* It felt a bit lonely at times because I was the only one full-time at the company's Toronto office. Both management and colleagues did their best to support me though. * The hybrid model was challenging sometimes, as my commute was long and Canadian winters can be harsh. Again though, whenever there was a need to WFH for an extended period, management was always supportive

Pros

- Great coworkers that always do their best to help - Modern office

Cons

- No job control - you can be assigned to new tasks and responsibilities (even outside of your main role) without any prior notice and you are expected to somehow fit it in your schedule. - Extreme pressure and stress. - Overtime is normal and expected from you. - People keep leaving all the time and such high employee turnover constantly puts more pressure on the remaining team and destroys their morale. - Common burnouts.
