Pros

Nothing positive comes to mind. It was really that bad!

Cons

- Incessant badgering and micro-managing from the owner - Completely unrealistic expectations of contractors (get chewed afterwards for not knowing, what a laugh) - Ridiculously rude, confrontational management style - Enormous egos that smother accomplishments, drive off employees, and sour client relationships - All about the money (theirs, not yours). God forbid a client ask for something small that wasn't "in scope" without getting charged up the wazoo. And their notified of this in a tactless, badly timed fashion. - High turnover and it shows. You'll quickly realize why everyone there is newly hired, as Atrenet's shady ways sends them running back out the door!

This gentleman started doing QA and then we switched him over to project management. That was a mistake. Although he assured us otherwise, he was unrealistic about the pressures of working long hours on a regular basis and during crunch time. He was too much of a pushover both internally and externally which got us in trouble. There is a silver lining. One of the engineers who started at the same time at this individual is now in a leadership role on our team and he's doing really well. Win some. Lose some. Thick skin. Move on.

Pros

I am joining AtreNet because they are a top-flight agency with a long list of very happy clients and a multitude of employees that have stayed with AtreNet for over a decade. One of my mandates as the new VP of Client Services is to ensure that all of our employees are given the resources and space they need to keep our clients happy. I will be putting my long experience managing people and projects to work matching our internal processes and culture with the excellent, award-winning, work we are already doing for our clients. We will continue to be a hard-charging, client-focused, super-lean organization, but we will also be a place where employees and contractors are proud not just of their work but of the place where they work.

Cons

As the new VP of Client Services for AtreNet, I have read all of the reviews from former employees and hear their concerns.

Pros

I've been working for Tushar Atre at AtreNet since 2014, and I've learned so much. I'm really pushing myself to get exposure and business experience. In my first year here, I've been in more big meetings that matter and I've gotten more support from senior members of the AtreNet team than I have at any other time in my career. Tushar is one of the most driven people I've ever met and he puts customer satisfaction over all else. The pace is always hectic, but the launches and wins are thrilling. We're on the front lines every day helping Silicon Valley companies succeed, and that drives our team. One of the reasons I'm publishing this is because I don't want to see my growing company get a bad rap from a disgruntled former employee. Typically, when people have a bad experience, they are much more motivated to post a review or shout it from the rooftops, whether it's a restaurant, job, or retail experience. There's always challenges with any job, and you have to be ready to give your everything, but the experience and what I'm learning will benefit me and my career in the long-term.

Cons

As with any full-time job, balancing your work and personal life can be a challenge. But you get out of your job what you put into it. There's no way to partially commit or half-ass this job.
