Pros

- Like the previous review mentioned, the studio has exciting projects and talented designers to work with. - They have an unique aesthetic style that permeates through all their work. - Nice location + beautiful space.

Cons

- Work life balance needs serious help. Company time is always bleeding into personal life. - Lack of communication leads to issues down the line for projects and performance. - A very introverted studio, which might not be for everyone. - If you are serious about working here, please ask previous employees on their thoughts first. I did, and I still feel that I should have listened to them more.

Pros

I would say the main take away is that you will have some great and amazing projects to put in your portfolio and you will meet some great and talented people. The end.

Cons

There are many many frustrations you will encounter while you work there. The weekly late nights will take a toll on you. While I was there I at minimum stayed there till at least 2 am once a week if lucky. There will be NO taxi home after and NO dinner provided. You will only eat if he is hungry and if you do, it will be what he wants. If you don't want to eat what he does then you'll have to find your own meal. You never know what time you will go home at the end of the day. Forget about seeing your friends, kiss them all goodbye. I have had many many times where I would get a project at 6pm and stay till 4 am to get it done and still be expected to show up on time to work. Don't think he will stay till 4 am with you he'll leave if he has something to do don't you worry. Don’t think you will always get to recuperate over the weekend those as well as federal holidays are up for grabs. We have also have never had a snow day, the office is always open. Lack of communication is HUGE and leads to many issues. You think a project is going well and then at 2am the night before its due the design changes completely. It seems like a collaborative place but in actuality it’s just you doing what he wants at the end of the day. He pretends that he’s open and listening but gets upset when your opinions differ. If you don’t act like his sketch or idea is amazing he will act like you are stupid or crazy. People cycle though like crazy, I’ve seen people be there from 3 months till a year at most. The more experience people have the faster they know to get out. So many people have gotten sick from working there, it just takes a physical toll. Now you know why they always have job postings. Freelancers never get paid on time. You will have to constantly remind them to pay you. You will most likely get asked for a day rate so go by the hour. You will stay late so they will just take advantage of you with a day rate. No benefits whatsoever. At the end of the day they don’t care about you.
