Like a previous review said the positive culture at Athena is a bit of a front and the management is as ruthless as any big bank. Burn out is common with teams pushed to the brink. The culture appears positive but there is actually very little support if a team member gets stuck or has personal issues.
Negative feedback on the process is taken extremely poorly and you are likely to get blackballed for any promotions or projects if you are too vocal. Many staff were also recently made redundant in what I can only call a case of extreme mismanagement.
Marketing was pushed beyond the current team capacity (150-200%), and thus hiring efforts were made to accommodate this new volume of customers. At one point, there was just short of 2,000 customers that had not been spoken to.
Some of the staff that were made redundant had only been with Athena for 1 to 3 months before being cut, as soon as the customer volume began to dry up.
