Pros

International experience, lots of teaching experience

Cons

Very poor pay, job description promises language classes but the classes are dependent on the desire to teach by the unpaid intern teachers they hire once you arrive (hence several weeks without classes).

Pros

Awesome authentic Chinese experience. Teach English and learn the language. Great staff and management.

Cons

The wages were enough to get by but that's pretty much it.

Pros

I hear about companies offering internships only in name, then making said intern the designated tea and coffee provider. Aston has provided me with real work experience in a variety of tasks that has not only provided me with more responsibility than I would have expected, but allowed me to actually create value for the business. It is also a great travel opportunity for those that are torn between finding a job and exploring the world. I have been learning some mandarin (lessons provided by Aston), and also a great deal about Chinese culture that has allowed me to broaden my perspective as well as enhancing my CV.

Cons

No cons about the internship itself - ideally it would be longer
