Pros

Cynthia is really good at placating people into getting what she wants and to string along the interns.

Cons

They completely take advantage of the interns. They work them to the bone and then refuse to give any sort of timeline as to when they will be hired. It is advertised as an intern to hire but Cynthia made it clear that there was no real plan as to then they would be hiring people. This company is extremely unorganized and it is a huge effort to get things done. There were many zoom calls were nothing was really accomplished. Cynthia and Thane use their interns to try to advertise for the company and as a way to show how supposedly impactful the company is.

Hi, We are so sorry you feel this way. You were among our first interns, and due to your demands, we did pay you $500 for your 60 days of work despite your unpaid legal internship agreement that you electronically signed for educational and hands on experience using our state-of-the-art softwares and to obtain certifications. We are sorry that many of the interns didn't take to your hostility and desire to be prioritized before them. Also, you are fully aware that we are a startup, so yes, you being one of our first interns, the zoom meetings did need better organization. We've worked our way towards many improvements. After leaving you tried to influence other interns to engage in a class action lawsuit for reasons unknown to us. The lawyer in your email blast seemed very uninterested to help you for such a petty cause. Our loyal team of students understands that we are growing as a unit to help advance Public Health. Furthermore, after your resignation, you sent a text to us thanking us for adding to your skillsets. We are still baffled by why you went one way to another, especially after you recorded a video of you to Ellen glorifying us and our mission shortly before your resignation. We've seen your social media channels and followings, as well as the many negative reviews you've left about other companies. We wish you the best in your life and we're sorry you feel the way you do. We aim to add more value to our interns than received, we are a startup building this together as a public health community!

Pros

The staff here is very helpful, and I received a lot of great tools to help secure a job after my tenure.

Cons

Very independent work depending on what you're working on. The work at this company is very independent. I often find myself working alone and being able to make my own decisions regarding how I carry out my tasks.

Pros

I interned awhile back, but I can’t say enough good things about the Assuaged Internship Program! Thanks to them, I just landed my dream job as a Health Research Assistant at the WHO! Assuaged Foundation is a nonprofit that's all about making a difference. They run an awesome remote internship program that mixes AI and digital marketing to help out students who need it the most. Plus, they bring in amazing public health mentors! It's all about creating the next generation of digital whizzes. During my internship, I got to explore so many cool projects. I wrote SEO blogs, put together e-magazines, learned about social media campaigns, and even joined some pre-recorded health topic webinars. I also helped plan outreach events, did deep research on chronic diseases, and created educational resources. It was remote hands-on learning at its best. But what really blew me away was the mentorship. I got to connect with some seriously impressive people, including celebrities. That kind of networking is priceless and definitely helped me get my foot in the door at the WHO. It felt like I was part of something big and important. The Assuaged Internship Program gave me real-world experience and skills that I’ll carry with me throughout my career. If you’re looking for an internship that’s more than just busywork, Assuaged is where you want to be. It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learned and all the support I received.

Cons

More staff support is needed, it takes some time to get some help through so many Monday board requests, but I always was attended to and I understand non-profits don't have much funding as other businesses do.
