Pros
-The flexibility to work whatever shift works for you, if you do your time and get the work done. -Vacation if you achieve “Rainmaker.” -Friendly staff members. -Monthly company event, usually consisted of a lunch or snack. I'd like to note that I genuinely enjoyed the work I did, but the cons were hard to overlook.
Cons
Aspen is behind industry standards in several categories. Here are a few: -Paid time off. Employees are given 7 days a year and are granted one additional day for each year of tenure. This time is to be used for both sick/personal days. The number was increased to 7 in 2023 from 2 days the previous year. -If you are selected for jury duty, your time off will not be paid for. -Health insurance coverage. Their coverage is alright if you are a single employee. If you add a spouse or child, it's costly. -Requiring employees to come to the office to do work that can be completed remotely. As technology evolves, the workforce can complete more tasks from alternative settings. Even though it is possible to do, this is something Aspen will not consider. They wanted to keep things fair, but it isn’t fair when you allow some to work from home/hybrid but not others. -Favoritism.
