Pros

Coffee machine, candy and soda in break room. Consistent female attention despite showing no interest. Had a great burger and beer before I was fired. Two actually.. Nothing about the job was a pro other than my work completed.

Cons

Inappropriate conversations amidst low quality employees, constant drinking without regard to schedule, very aggressive (uncomfortable) management, all employees of which have seen less than 10 hours of management training in 5+ years of operation, with very little prior experience to bring to their current positions. HR violated trust with employee. I.T. submitted false claim that I was running a side consultancy while working 8-5 MF and completing 200 tickets in my experience. Steer clear--they 'work well together' and do not work well with others, period. I have the check to prove it.

Pros

Ascension Software cares about its employees and their wellbeing above all. Flexibility is always allowed for any family matters or personal growth. They encourage having fun while getting the job done and do an excellent job of building the right TEAM.

Cons

Have allowed a few bad apples in at times missing the red flags during interviews. Took too long to fire some poison people.

Pros

The product I worked with had some interesting ideas and was executed reasonably well. If you are a white male who has conservative political views and enjoys making inappropriate jokes in the office I suppose you'd fit right in.

Cons

In your face management who will constantly remind you about how successful the company is. A non-stop parade of meetings and emails telling you how close their business is to "jumping to the big leagues" but it never quite happens. Current employees will make you feel like an outsider if you don't laugh at every joke and join every lunch outing. As others have mentioned the atmosphere is very unprofessional and HR, such as it is, is uninterested in change.
