Pros
Retail is rarely pleasant, fast paced and with a high turnover, but I can genuinely recommend ANI as a satisfying job. Pay is never going to be the highest for a cashier, but with enough hard work and dedication there are real advancement opportunities. In fact most of their store managers started as crew members. One key factor that makes working at ANI a pleasure is the quality of the customer. This is not Tesco, and you are expected to be of a higher calibre..but this is pleasing and creates a positive atmosphere. Training plans are provided; salaries are transparent and linked to your progression through these plans.
Cons
As I mentioned above, pay is not very high for London....but what do you expect...it is retail. Hours are also quite challenging, you will know your timetable two weeks in advance, but working weekends, evenings and early mornings is never fun. This is not a 9-5
