Pros
- PTO is extremely generous starting with 3 weeks off after satisfying the first 3 months of employment. - Health and dental insurance is covered 100% for those with a marital status of single. - Most amazing gym (wellness center) with tons of gym equipment and cleanliness, which is much better than signing up for a membership at a regular gym outside of Arthrex. - Free coffee, tea, and hydration stations (water). - Medical centers are available to make physical appointments, COVID test appointments, etc. - Bonuses are great if the company performs well for the year. - Year of Service (YoS) trip of a lifetime is available to employees, who hit their 5 year anniversary. Can pick wherever you want to go all over the world for a total of two weeks.
Cons
- Benefits do not become effective until you satisfy your three months of employment. Manager will actually do a review on you for the first three months before you can proceed any further with Arthrex. - Workload is becoming unmanageable with unrealistic expectations from management. - Projects are not managed very well at Arthrex. Everywhere you go at Arthrex, projects are managed by phase, which becomes extremely difficult to get out of. Projects have become very long-term assignments you can’t move past. - Work life balance is less and less in manufacturing. Can’t enjoy my time outside of work and am very behind in my personal and career development. - Not a lot of flexibility to work from home anywhere all over the country and world. Pretty much have to come into work everyday and it takes a good solid few minutes to get into the building because of parking availability. - Base pay can improve at Arthrex. Naples and all of Southwest Florida are getting way too expensive. One salary does not cut it anymore. Can’t afford housing because of the rising prices and interest rates. That’s why I want flexibility in working remote from anywhere, so I can move anywhere to buy housing.
