Pros

1) The owners / managers are nice but that must be a ploy to dupe into working for them! 2) ...uhm... I can't think of anything else!

Cons

Don't work here! PLEASE for your sake and your wallet! Maybe they mean well, but nothing turned out like they said when they hired me. I hope they do not intentionally deceive the people they hire, but I felt they did after I had to quit. They've done it long enough now to know the stats, costs, payments, and results, right? So why did they tell me in the interview I could make $80 or more per DAY working 5 to 6 hours a day... abut $400 for 5 days... about $12 to $14 per hour! It sounded good, and sounded about right for this type of high pressured, high stress delivery job. But it literally averaged out to $3 per hour AFTER all my expenses were deducted on my spread sheet (see below for more pay details). Thats a lot different than $12-14/ hour, huh!!!?? And trust me, I kept VERY ACCURATE records. I wanted to know exactly how many hours I was working and how much I averaged per hour in pay... and it was right at $3 per hour.. WHAT a LIE and WHAT a JOKE! I felt like a fool and as if I had been lied to and DUPED! I also had to pay a mandatory $30 per week company insurance premium for accidents, workman;s comp, etc... $30/week ($120/month) before I made even $1 dollar. And then there is the company shirts you have to buy. And of course the expensive gasoline ... I had to fill up my gas tank almost every single day! And the tolls were a killer some days. NOTE: Sometimes the deliveries in the Dallas area were such that you did not have a choice but to use the Toll system... and that adds up quickly. A Numbered List of CONS: 1) I think they literally lied to me to get me to hire on. That is why they have a revolving door of delivery drivers... in and out and in and out and in and out! One after the other. What else would you call it? They were seemingly deceitful to me, right? They know how much their drivers make, but they still told me something else anyway to dupe me into hiring on. I call that lying! This is the lowest paying job, and the worst job, I have ever had in my life. I only took this job to supplement my full-time job's pay to help meet medical expenses for my sick family members. But in the end I LOST money and spent a lot of time driving around the DFW Metro area and I wore my car some more! What a poor job this was. Avoid it like the PLAGUE! Im serious! *NOTE: I worked the evening shift, so I started about 3:00 PM or so each day and worked until 9:00 pm if they needed me that late. So, I was working at night, was away from my family during the peak family time, and did it all for $3/hour!! What a joke, huh? What a fool I was. 2) VERY, VERY LOW pay... and I do mean VERY L-O-W PAY! I averaged about $3 / hour for my entire time there after all my expenses were deducted. **Check this out... I spent lots of money each day/week on GAS, TOLLS, Company REQUIRED INSURANCE ($30 or so per WEEK!), Uniform-shirts that I had to buy, wear and tear costs on my own car, my personal at insurance costs, and personal cell phone costs (all their dispatch work is done via dell phone so I used MY DATA on this App data process, and they paid me ZERO for this. 3) As a 1099 employee I had to use MY OWN car, my own Cell Phone, and every expense was 100% out of my own pocket. 4) Waiting around for deliveries! I waited up to 4 hours on more than one occasion to get another delivery. And on many other occasions I waited up to 2 hours just sitting around hoping for the dispatcher to call me soon. My longest WAIT was 5 hours one day... from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM! And since I hoped for and expect a dispatch at any moment, I couldn't go anywhere to do anything else. I sat in a prospective client's parking lot (where they sent me) hoping and praying for a delivery! Well, it finally came... at 6:00 PM! What a screwed up system! 5) No help with GAS or TOLLS or other expenses since you are a 1099 employee. 6) Too much "back and forth" and "go here and go there" to make deliveries... they need more logic to their deliveries. 7) So much driving each week that a delivery driver will INDEED WEAR your automobile out over time! And for what? $# per hour! What a JOKE. 8) You NEVER know how much a delivery is worth or how much you are being paid to take a package from point A to point B. Supposedly they will tell you after the fat or you can call on payday, but I asked countless times and always heard, "Well, thats determined with a formal based on miles, delivery urgency/status, etc... There's really no way of telling you that." Were they even paying my full share? I don't know because there were no checks and balances at all! 9) The dispatchers are constantly telling on you ... "hurry, hurry, hurry! Go, GO, GO! Move it quickly! Get there as quick as you can! Drive as fast as you reasonbly can! Go, go, go! We are running behind, so HURRY QUICK!" But trust you me, if you get a speeding ticket or a red light ticket they WILL NOT help you pay it. But they always want you to go quicker, faster, and be more expedient. Its a constant pressure point for a job that pays you chicken feed any way. 10) Summary on CONS: Too many to list beyond the ones above! LOL. Its a crap job with no reward and only heartache and problems to look forward to. I can honestly say this -- "I saw NO good thing about this job! NONE! Pay is SUPER LOW, my car was worn daily to a frazzle, I was stressed from all the hurry ups from dispatch, some customers wren rude to me, and there was no reward at all for what I did. And the paycheck was SO LOW it was a joke. It literally caused me to cry every time I received one. AVOID AOT Delivery like the plague! you'll be gad you did, Thanks
