Goals are ambitious and management pushes you to perform, which can feel intense, but it’s also very rewarding if you’re motivated and want to grow quickly and work at a company with a strong mission that helps others. One of the biggest highlights is the company’s focus on in-person connection. Working out of the NYC office means tons of collaboration, fast feedback, and learning alongside smart, driven teammates. Arketa also does in-person offsites that are genuinely fun and memorable — they’re a real highlight of the job and make you feel invested in the team and the company. Plus, the swag is actually good and something people are excited to use. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment with high standards, strong in-person culture, and a team that pushes you to be better, Arketa is a great place to be.

The pace and expectations aren’t for everyone. Goals are aggressive, and the pressure can feel intense, especially if you’re used to a slower or more hands-off environment. You need to be comfortable with direct feedback and being pushed outside your comfort zone. As with any fast-growing company, things can move quickly and change often, so you have to be adaptable and comfortable with some ambiguity.

God it was so stressful, they always were moving targets and adding more and more to your plate and so much stress FOR NOT ENOUGH PAY. They have training but the training is awful to where you feel ill equipped to do the job. And no 401k benefits at all. It’s just so much stress, with such little pay. Don’t apply. Additionally we had “live chat hours” where you have to respond within 1-3 minutes and can’t get up for your desk for over 4+ hours at a time. I would work on Sundays and they would have me be on a live chat shift for 7+ hours …… not able to get up for that long is so inhumane.
