Focus on interdisciplinary science supports good collaboration. Striving to better the University in the past several years provides a good atmosphere. The benefits are good even for a postdoctoral researcher.
Cons
Arizona State is a very large University so it can be easy to get lost in the system. Lots of students crowding campus during the academic year can be frustrating.
