Many coworkers are supportive and collaborative, and some of the scientists here are among the best in their fields, which makes it an incredible place to learn. The company also offers reduced tuition for undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Cons
Leadership quality varies by department, but some teams have a highly micromanaged, high-pressure culture. Employees may be contacted if they step away from their desks for too long, and decision-making can feel very top-down, with occasional favoritism. The environment can feel more “hold your breath” than collaborative. In at least one team, leadership even referred to their style as “boss-b***management.” The company is also rolling back some flexible schedules and remote work opportunities.
