Pros

I have been with the company for about 12 months now. New hire onboarding and training was quite rough because there was not a true new hire program to properly train you. You were given 6 hours to learn about different parts of the company's service offerings and then just assigned to your manager. At that point, your manager gave you videos to watch, minor tasks to complete, and you were assigned to shadow your colleagues. There really needs to be a better onboarding and training program. Lucky for me, I am a go getter. So I jumped right into my new role, asked a ton of questions, found the resources I needed in order to get the learning and training I needed. It was just a ton of extra work to have to try to find my own way instead of it being provided upfront. I will admit that there is NO ONE in this company that won't stop and help you if you need it. Like I said, I asked a TON of questions and there was always someone that was able to help me or point me in the right direction. The team comradery at Arcoro is great and gives a sense of "No Man Left Behind" feel. I was provided with different colleagues names, people who were subject matter experts, to help me when needed. There were different team chats started for all new hires so that you can get the help you needed just by posting questions into a chat and it was well monitored. Though the training and new hire onboarding program wasn't the best, I was still able to quickly and easily find my way through the things I needed to. I have a clear understanding of what my role is, what my responsibilities are, and company goals that I can help contribute to. Since my hire, the company has since created a more in depth training and onboarding program which was great to see. It went from a 6 hour orientation to a whole week of information. Arcoro listens to the feedback provided by their employees so even if the company is where is should be at currently, the company is making changes and strides to get to where it should be. I really like working here.

Pros

Good experience with HRIS/SaaS software, exposure to complex customer issues, some good coworkers, and a few strong managers.

Cons

Support is undervalued, poor documentation, limited internal growth, weak communication, lack of recognition, questionable leadership decisions, and employees may feel punished for speaking up.
