Pros
Great coworkers from all walks of life, a very dedicated manager and assistant manager, loads of different opinions and perspectives on the world and that's great cause it means we can all work together while chatting about serious topics and peacefully agree or disagree without falling out as everyone here is respectful of eachother!
My boss is quite fair as well, she understands other people's perspectives, is always ready to help, her and my assistant manager are very much so the dream team of management anyone would want in a retail place of work but honestly they are what a company needs to thrive and I can absolutely see them both as higher ups some day that would be vital for the company!
Great local people too!
I haven't found anything I actively dislike in this job yet, I love my coworkers and my boss, they are truly a fantastic bunch, all have great personalities, are great to work with and are always looking out for eachother. Teambuilding too isn't really essential here as we all get along great but when we plan for colleague days out to get better acquainted everyone tends to be down to better know one another and just for a small fun get together too!
There's company benefits and some take 6 months of employment to reach but honestly that's not bad, the benefits are vast and fair with Applegreen, if you read through their Applegreen Academy, you will see your legal rights and your benefits from working with the company fresh to working with them for +6 months as there are a range of different benefits but it's best to read through them yourself to better know your stuff!
Me personally, I can see myself growing in this work environment and it's all thanks to the great team I have with me
Cons
Honestly I haven't found anything in this job I hate, I love what I do and I love the people I work with, I think my place of work I may have just lucked out on or maybe Applegreen just has some great employees! But truly the only downside that I have found is keeping your social battery up when working in a very social environment, other than that it's the best job I've had to date! I say this as someone who is autistic (ASD) and has a hard time being around people, that I really took a shot in the dark with this job but I haven't found anything that's actually bad about it!
