Pros
The benefits are great with a generous pension contribution, Halma shares, 9-day fortnights, flexible working, heavily subsidized canteen and annual company events.
Cons
Not the best place I have worked at. Don’t join the business if you have a wealth of experience or knowledge as it won’t go to good use. Middle management give you projects or tasks with the idea of use you knowledge to identify appropriate solutions, to then be overruled with the idea they had in the first place. Equally, making that decision takes far too long that a lot of time gets wasted. Change management is managed quite poorly, takes far too long, and some processes are more complex than they should be (again this is partly down to the business clinging onto weak systems). On a personal note micro management is a bit of an issue, with some discussions lead to me being told exactly what I should do on a topic that should not need explaining to me with it being common sense and things I would deliver on regardless, or if I say something or propose an idea, it is discussed back to me in a different way to make is seem like it was no longer my idea.
