Pros

The founders are wonderful people. Great ideas are highly valued. There is plenty of opportunity to be high impact at this company. Valuation is still very low at the time of writing (Feb 2025). Benefits are good. The job is what you make of it, and the founders are very good at putting you in a position to succeed when it comes to work hours and what areas of the code base you work on.

Cons

The sales pipeline could be more efficient. The founders are well-aware of this and are actively working on solutions to scale the customer base. The road ahead is unclear, and sometimes you will be working with the founders to clarify the vision. This can be a con for many, but for some, it is a major pro. It depends on your interest in the business domain.

Pros

Founders have a lot of faith and autonomy in employees. They don't micromanage and allow employees to work independently. The typical annual performance review comes with a raise, but it sometimes is only the rate of inflation. Colleagues are great!

Cons

Apero requires employees to come into the office 5 days a week even though the job descriptions often says "with opportunities to work remotely". The founders aren't great with providing feedback. When asking a question it can often feel like you're pulling teeth which makes employees not want to ask questions.
