Pros

Amazing colleagues, enjoyable office culture, many opportunities within the company, flexible (can work from home or adjust hours if/when needed, a lot of vacation time to use and large team to back you up on work for longer vacations), most managers truly care about your wellbeing. Some weeks/months can be extremely busy and/or stressful, but the business is cyclical within a calendar year and everyone gets “down time” at some point. Good benefits; I always choose the lower tier medical plan because my medical needs are consistent year to year and I have paid little ($7 or less per paycheck) to no premium depending on the year. Managers have a system in place for sharing/spreading resources and assessing talent across the teams so that promotions, salary adjustment, and bonuses are fairly allocated. New managers go through manager training sessions and leadership development sessions. While there are areas that could be improved, the grass is not greener, folks.

Cons

Plenty of opportunity for every individual within the company, but the opportunities are not always communicated well. Busy times of the year can become overwhelmingly busy and stressful and there is not always immediate relief or help when that happens. Managers do typically solve the issue for the next time around, but there aren't always immediate resources available, especially during the busiest times o the year.

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
