Anything is Possible Media Response
1yFirstly, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
Thanks for the positive words about our managers, they really are fab and are thriving here.
We are genuinely really sorry that this was your experience post acquisition of the agency in Manchester. Acquisitions often cause changes in work that directly effect employees. Our aim was to minimise this change, but it's always going to impact some more than others.
We agree, it was definitely a change of pace to the work you had been doing, this is the pace that AiP sets as we strive to become the best agency we possibly can be. We understand that this isn't for everyone and we are clear that this will be the hardest most rewarding job you'll ever do if you adopt the ways of working and lean into teams when you need to.
We never want our employees to feel stressed or overworked and undervalued. We take our employee's mental health very seriously and encourage everyone to be open with their managers and to utilise their access to Simplyhealth if they're uncomfortable speaking with a colleague.
We hire for Possiblist traits, for the can-do attitude, showing the curiosity to do things differently and the drive to push themselves. As you were thrown into the mix with us, we'd hoped you'd be able to adapt to our ways of working and we are sorry this didn't align with your previous team and ways of working.
Our buddies are there to be general support for the business, someone away from your team to help you settle into the company. Role-specific queries should have been directed to your colleagues in your team, who would be happy to help!
We have genuinely won many awards, only this year we were awarded the IPA effectiveness award, which is independent and extremely difficult to achieve. Sam was awarded one of the most ambitious leaders in the UK by The Times and scale-up entrepreneur of the year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. These, amongst many others, speak for themselves.
We are definitely growing, we're about to reach 90 employees over 3 UK offices and now have our own entity in South Africa. Our ambition is fuelling our growth and will continue to do so over the coming months and years. In order to do this we need the most ambitious people around us.
Yes, some people do work out of hours, this is quite common in our industry (and many others), but we don't ask or force you to do this. We reward our employees with all the bells and whistles at company events, we offer employee bonuses related to your, your teams and the company's success. From the dates you mentioned, I don't think you would have been eligible for this.
We have had lots of promotions and successes with our employees, this is based on their personal drive to grow and deliver, they are not forced to do this in order to grow here. Employees are not worked to the bone to get recognition for their work, and we have had many promotions this year (one person achieving 2 promotions in the year!). Yes, hard work is rewarded, but this is the same in any company or industry, promotions go to those who show they have worked for them and are deserved.
We are genuinely sorry that employees in the Manchester office felt this change and felt removed from the rest of the business. This was a major transition for us all and there were lessons learned all round. We hope the remaining employees can come to us with any issues or ongoing concerns, in fact, we encourage it.
Our salaries are very competitive, salaries on sources like Indeed can be misleading and may not demonstrate a realistic view of your geographical location and a myriad of other factors. We monitor the industry salary trend, and the expectations of employees and new hires to ensure we stay competitive.
Many within the team are thriving and do genuinely love their jobs.
Is the work hard? Yep.
Are we faster-paced than some other independent agencies? For sure.
Do we make this clear to new hires? Absolutely.
We feel really sorry that due to the acquisition of your previous employer, you were put into a fast-paced and driven environment that didn't resonate with you.
We hope that your new journey will allow you to achieve all the things you want out of your career and wish you all the best for the future.
The AiP team.
