Pros

Two days remote was really the only pro

Cons

They would ask for process improvement ideas or ways to save time and money. I brought ideas to the table but was told no and that we had to do it this way it was being done which was inefficient and wasted company time and money. I also went on FMLA and shortly after that was treated differently than others. I got a 50 cent raise and was told my poor raise was based on my productivity and was told it would be even smaller next year (which I had never once been told how my performance was being measured or what it was based on until after that. It ended up being based on one portion of my job and not taking into consideration the large number of other tasks I worked on.) My other colleagues were given $1 or more raises and told that their raises were not based on performance and only on market value. I also offered to work less hours when they were having budget issues and still be extremely productive meanwhile another employee was getting overtime but was taking breaks every 30 minutes so ended up working an 8 hour day like myself. That person was wasting so much company time and money but was running the department and yet I was laid off due to “budget”. Really if that was the case they could have cut her extreme overtime months earlier and I think they just took that opportunity to lay me off to get rid of me because I spoke up so much or tried to point out things that could be improved upon. If you want to do a job, keep your opinions/thoughts to yourself, be micromanaged then this is a fine place to work. If you want to use your mind, contribute ideas, work with mature people as a team, or think outside the box: don’t apply here.

Pros

Work from home 2 days a week and work from anywhere for about 4 weeks a year.

Cons

Work fluctuates with the oil and gas industry. Layoffs happen when the industry is in decline.

Pros

Appreciated option to work remotely 2 days a week.

Cons

Not able to borrow ahead vacation time, which made it difficult to take a one week vacation in February if you didn't have the time accumulated yet.
