Pros
Passionate colleagues who are working on a shared climate change mission. Too bad everyone is overworked and bordering on burnout.
Cons
Terrible leadership, non-competitive salaries and no clarity on pathway to promotion and compensation increases. Low morale among employees and a climate of fear of being terminated. Sr leadership does not walk the talk, are not values-driven. There is zero transparency and accountability in terms of compensation and performance. HR is not experienced enough to support a company of this size and makes many mistakes. The leadership does not value the contributions of employees below VP level and to get promoted you have to be a favourite of the CEO (who is the head of a climate change company yet has been known to travel by private jet), rather than good at your job. You will be on the chopping block if you advocate for gender equity in any way. The people who make this company successful are valued the least. Unless you are upper management, preferably a man, and you don't care about work-life balance/have no health issues or family commitments, then you are better off at almost any other company.
