Pros
- Friendly and helpful editors - Love writing about tech - Great way to build your resume
Cons
At first, I thought the pay was above industry standards, but after going through the training, it's actually not. Their CMS system is really clunky, and you're expected to input all the product images yourself. This takes a lot of time. Also, a great amount of research goes into the articles, as there should be. I enjoyed reading Android Police long before I became a writer for them, and that's because the articles are actually well-written and researched. However, if you do it right, the process is labor-intensive. It would be nice if the pay were more hourly than per article. Or, at the very least, they should pay the writers more. Another negative is WHEN you get paid. In other jobs, I got paid once the article was published. But with Android Police, you won't see any green until the article has been published for 15 days! Not cool.
