Pros
Well-established company processes. Very supportive and generally wholesome atmosphere. Some truly high-skilled professionals. A cool office in the skyscraper in the very center of the city. A tennis table, cookies, and fruits. Tons of activities from HRs helping to keep up with work/life balance. Yoga classes in the office. Numerous possibilities to advance in hard and soft skills, language courses for employees, and some internal 'schools' for popular technologies among them. Working on the contract, you also get some perks like medical insurance or a multisport card.
Cons
When joining the lab, one has to learn a lot there in a short timeframe. Regular knowledge checks. Later on, after switching to a commercial project, participating in additional activities is highly encouraged and sometimes required to further advance in your career. You have to either conduct interviews, or train the newcomers, or take part in people (=resource) management. Salaries are decent, nothing to boast about here. Though, performance reviews are conducted on the regular basis.
