Pros
Having seen some of Silicon Valley's best and worst, I waited a long time to write this review. I've been impressed with this company since day 1, and find that Anaplan is a uniquely great company, especially so in the time of COVID-19. Here's why: - Walks the talk when it comes to culture and values. I enjoy working with smart people who are creative, collaborative, and humble, and there are so many here. I have yet to encounter a single jerk here, even with growth and new leaders coming in from outside the company. - Your ideas matter. A lot of my time in Silicon Valley has been spent (reluctantly) saying yes, being forced to just do what I'm told, and not feeling like I could question anything, much less improve upon it. I have found here that my experience and ideas are valued, and have been able to see my ideas put into motion. I feel like I have a voice because there is transparency, respect, and honesty here. - Values its employees. Competitive pay, generous RSUs, stipend for home office supplies, mental health day off for the entire company, shutting down for a week during the holidays, rooftop celebrations, and Monday morning breakfasts (pre-pandemic) are all thoughtful ways that Anaplan has taken care of its employees. -Diverse senior leadership team. This is what drives all of the above. Frank is an outstanding CEO, and truly a class act. My interaction with him and the rest of senior leadership, what they have achieved, and their communication style, have stood out as some of the best in the business.
Cons
There are of course challenges due to the pandemic, but Anaplan's response to it has been top-notch. Same with evolving the business as a newly public company. I really don't see any cons to working here.
