Pros
I worked at Amtico for under two years and had the opportunity to work with many talented and supportive colleagues. However, I found that aspects of the management culture and structure could benefit from greater consistency and professionalism. During my time with the company, I received limited feedback and did not undergo a formal probationary review, which made it challenging to fully understand expectations or track progress. My employment was later terminated due to not meeting the expected performance levels for my contractual role. While I recognise the importance of maintaining standards, more regular feedback and structured support might have helped align performance expectations more effectively. I also observed instances where certain managers discussed employees’ personal or professional circumstances in a way that felt unprofessional and potentially undermined trust within the team. Improving confidentiality and communication practices at the management level would help foster a more positive and respectful working environment. After leaving the company, I experienced a delay in receiving my holiday pay due to a reported system error. This was eventually resolved but caused some unnecessary frustration. * Friendly and supportive colleagues * Opportunities to gain valuable industry experience
Cons
*Limited managerial feedback and development support *Lack of structured probationary and performance reviews *Occasional unprofessional communication among managers *Administrative issues following departure
