Cons
There are many silos going on in this company specially at Amplify Insight. HR tries to pull many shady things, this is just one. Disregarding the complaints I brought up to HR during my two years there, (all documented) I finally resigned. I had an excellent performance review the first year and a good one the next year. I knew of a person in my team who was put in a performance plan, so it seems there is some sort of process followed there when performance is an issue. Two days after my resignation, my manager at the time schedules a catch up meeting, where he smiled and said to me he didn't need me anymore. Guess he had forgotten my resignation sent to the head of HR and him via email? Or me letting him know in person? I was taken to HR, and she wanted me to sign a letter with the words “Voluntarily Terminated". I told her to send to me via email, as I have never had to sign anything when I have resigned. I was escorted out. Two days later, HR sends a page with the words "Voluntarily Resigned" on it and the HR claims it never said “Termination" on it. Afters speaking to a lawyer, a company in the state of NY has "fire at will" policy, and this is one example of how they could exercise this policy. Even though I had resigned, even though my performance could not be questioned, they couldn't put me in a performance plan. But to try to make me sign a "Termination" paper? Then take two days to change the word "Termination" into Resignation and try to deny the fact that you tried to fire me? Work here at your own risk. Keep in mind Murdoch. Good luck.
