Pros
I worked with Amico for more than 8 years. My experience with them can be described as developed and improved. Amico has many departments and specialties, some of them have full support from higher management, but others are not. Products range are very wide and most of them are well known and star products worldwide. Training is great and helps you to advance your knowledge.... but not will organized and not for all products. Culture inside is great, people are friendly and helpful. I think this one of the advantages that is common and agreed by all amico staff ( currently or ex.) Great opportunity to learn and start a career especially for fresh graduates. Your resume will be respected to other companies along with Amico experience. They have a big engineering dept. and honestly they are good at their work and helpful. Big customer service dept. Doing all the paperwork for you and they are fast. Big accounting, HR , IT depts. So at a conclusion, you will focus on your work and no wasting time for another jobs. Normally Amico was known as stable company and secured jobs, but this has been changed few years ago.
Cons
As they have many advantages, they have many disadvantages as well. Not easy to grow inside the company, growing and advancing the career is depend on luck and your relationship with management.... they don’t have a clear and established developed strategy for career enhancement. The salaries are weak and not compaired with similar companies in the region. Bonuses and commissions are not fairly distributed and very low and hardly reached. They will try their best to lowering your bonuses and at the end you will not be satisfied compaired with what you have done for them .... this is the true definition of not fair..... exception to this are just two sales departments.( be careful). Yearly increments are another funny things.... normally if they decide to give you an increment for your salary, they will give you 200 , 300 ... 500 SR max. This is the average, some people get more , some get less. Management are very rigid and not flexible and no clear vision , decisions are centralized and no employees involvement at all ( by business definition they call it X company).... they have a lot of layers of management more than staff sometimes !!!!. Voices are not always heard.
