Pros

AMA has always been a welcoming place. It's employees are it's shining feature. Everyone I met, has been welcoming and friendly. I've made some truly wonderful friendships here. Good foundation for entry-level employees, but don't make this a permanent job. It's a good place to build your professional tool kit, especially by experience AMA learning. It's free, so take advantage!

Cons

AMA has a rich, long history. They are passionate about training, but unfortunately they do not practice what they preach. Old fashioned leadership styles coupled with poor employee morale leads to overworked and passionless employees. The workforce has undergone significant changes in terms of work-life balance, and unfortunately, AMA needs to change with the times. Embrace your rich history, but also innovate beyond product development. Employees should be the focal point of every business decision not the last. Happy Employees yield larger returns. The more you're appreciated the more passion you'll have for the product/company. Hire more help before it's too late. Burnout is extremely prevalent among already lean teams. Show genuine recognition. Embrace work-life balance. There are plenty of companies out there who have adopted these tactics and have seen moral jump.

Pros

As an independent contract instructor, I can take the classes offered, or not. I'm able to teach the topics I enjoy and the people I deal with are top notch.

Cons

I'd do more with them if they offered me more classes to teach.
