Pros
I started there because of the "flexibility," potential pay, and the opportunity to advance. But really there are very little pros, if any.
Cons
First off the commission-only pay in no way helps you with the money you have to pay for gas, hotels, etc that you do not get back if you happen to have a bad week or get no showed by clients (which happens too often). They claim you get what you put in, but this is rarely the case. If you break it down including what you spend in gas, hotels, food on the road, etc, it is not worth it at all. The crazy amount of random hours from 8 am to 9 pm (they expect you to always work until 9 pm every day doing drop-bys (randomly stopping by clients/potential clients homes) and anything else), I worked 50-70 hours a week and they told me I was still not putting in enough time. The way the company treats you in general, during and after working there. After I worked there I received a bill from them for almost $600 because a few of the policies I wrote had fallen off (which they did not tell me about until the bill) and they wanted me to pay for that, even though I won't get to see anything from the policies that did stay on. The upper management is dishonest and money hungry, they don't care about individuals because their turnover rate is so high that they don't even waste time getting to know you. Just keep in mind this is a huge pyramid scheme, and they claim you can make thousands of dollars, but very few actually get to see those rewards. Do not work here.
