Pros
free food and drink, you'll appreciate how far ahead companies like google and amazon are in Artificial Intelligence.
Cons
a. Their main product Amelia is promoted as being " a global leader in conversational artificial intelligence " - This is total lies ! My gold fish is more intelligent. b. Every few months the management tells employees that they are about to either list on the stock exchange or are about to get a huge investment ! Totally not true . . Apparently this has been going on for 7-10years. c. No no no the turn over isn't 1 billion dollars. It may be $10m . But we don't really know. d. customers pay 50-100K to run a pilot. But that's as far as it goes. When the customers realise that we don't really have an AI product that works, they cancel and sign up with Nuance, IBM Watson Google or Amazon etc. e. IPSoft recently sacked a lot of staff because they can't get investment. f. No one has ever heard of IP Soft/ Amelia - and that makes selling very very hard. g. You can't buy a paper clip without approval from your boss' boss' boss! h. No such thing as staff updates - i guess that's because they don't really have any updates. lol ! i. The demos are sooo embarrassing h. The best laugh is when you take customers through the "Innovation Center" in New York . The center is made up of a few LED screens showing videos , with either the CEO or CCO talking over it. It's so funny !! but sad.
