It’s clear that the trust level from management—likely from one specific individual—is extremely low. As a result, we’re being forced into a situation where we have to micromanage ourselves just to prove we’re working. This includes setting a daily timetable and reporting every single task: how many CVs we send, how many BD or candidate calls we make, who we’re doing reference checks for, and so on.
The leader lacks a clear understanding of today’s commercial market and recruitment practices. As a newcomer, this left me without the necessary support or guidance to grow into the role. I was essentially thrown into the deep end and had to figure everything out on my own.
The management style is outdated and overly controlling, which makes it difficult to operate effectively or with any autonomy.
