Pros
Competitive market pay. Starting pay is at least $20-21.5. The benefits are some of the best I’ve ever had. They offer PTO to Fulltime employees. You’re also offered VTO - time off without pay during their less busy seasons. During busy seasons you can make a lot of money by overworking your butt off. Also if you pick up holiday shifts, you can make 2.5x. You can take up to 3 months off the calendar year for time off / leave which is typically approved. If you decide not to show up to work, you don’t have to tell anybody, you just get “points” for not showing up. If you reach the max points, you automatically get fired by the computer system. But they erase after 60 days or you can cover them with the 10 sick days or possible other leaves.
Cons
The hours suck. You’re working 10hr shifts typically 4 days straight. The work at the tier 1 level is very arduous and boring. You can get write ups for not keeping rate. Picking is probably the worst and I was stuck in it for almost 2 years. It was almost impossible to get out of because no body wants to do it. Night shift destroyed my life. I lost everything, my health — both mentally and physically. I gained so much weight, could never sleep properly, became a lifeless zombie who basically slept barely, worked like a zombie, when home and did it over again. Days off were mostly for recovery. Avoid the night shift if possible !!
