Pros

- Decent hourly pay and benefits - Accomodating schedule that allows you to come earlier or stay later than scheduled, up to 29 hours a week for normal employees. (I.e work around 2am - 7am) - Obtaining Ambassador position means you can stay up to ~40 hours a week*, become much more involved in the general functions of the establishment - There are good, hard-working employees at this place. - Good culture, safety is emphasized. Principles are outlined: "Think big." *: may be 45 hours, not sure.

Cons

- The Flex delivery drivers that work at DAU1 are actually employed by a third-party company called Scoobeez, which is contracted by Amazon. This means the drivers don't outright work for Amazon and therefore, can exploit certain aspects of the location. The associates working at the warehouse are employed by Amazon. - There are a lot of factors at play at a job like this. The layout of the warehouse is a disadvantage when it comes to the sheer volume of packages management hopes to push. -There aren't even signs on the doors to indicate the lane numbers and the associate outside sending cars in has to explain why. - Drivers can be manipulative and trick associates into giving them more money for less time. Flawed system: paper cards are used to indicate how long a driver's delivery route is. More often than not, drivers try and keep shorter span cards to use the next day for a longer route. Deceptively simple. - I also heard a rumor one time that some drivers were using certain programs on their phones to automate their route selection so they get the best ones when they appear. I wouldn't doubt that a coder could easily make their own program to do exactly this. Flex app is VERY poorly designed!! - That said, these are definitely not the kind of dysfunctional people I would trust with handling deliveries to my house, let alone have access to personal information on my packages. - This job has truly tested my work ethic. At first, you are ignorant of all this and it seems like a great, normal job to have. As time goes on, the stress multiplies and good days suddenly become all bad days. Some people can handle it. I say it's not worth it. -Quick story to wrap this up: Just two weeks ago I almost got in a fight with a Same Day driver. He was two vans away talking to someone. I picked up empty bags in front of his loaded-up van not knowing that he hadn't scanned them yet and he started yelling at me, suddenly trying to get to me. So i threw the bags back on the ground.. he only got more agitated and other drivers literally had to grab him. So i walked away. I couldnt make this up if i tried.
