Pros

The store has nice music playing throughout the day, cute clothes, and good employee discount

Cons

Steep unrealistic sales goals with no commission and the customer has to remember your name for you to receive credit for the sale. The problem is if you have an immature coworker or manager, who can see that you've been working very hard with a customer and it's a big sale, if they are on the register they can just type their employee number and give themself credit for your sale. In the store I worked in we had one coworker who did this often. The big bummer with sales goals is that if a customer can't remember your name when asked "did anyone help you today?" The person usually types in their number or the manager's number. My advice in this case is when a customer you've been working with goes to the register to check out, try to be in a visible part of the sales floor so the customer can point to you if they don't remember your name. Unfortunatley even then you still might not get the credit for the sale because even if you helped the customer choose 7 of the items they're buying if your coworker at the register helped them chose one thing at the very end, they will likely give the credit to themself for the entire sale. The whole sales goal thing was the worst thing about working there and very mentally draining especially to not to even receive commission. Besides the fact that there is so much you have to do as a sales associate besides greeting, helping customers and organizing clothes. During the time I worked there I also cleaned mirrors, dusted, vacuumed the fitting rooms, mopped the entire sales floor, and cleaned the carpet cleaning machine all for minimum wage, so less than $11 an hour

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns. It's unfortunate to hear your experience related to sales goals and the lack of receiving credit for great selling behaviors. We will pass this feedback along to our team to provide clear direction and or coaching to avoid this from happening in the future. Stand Out For Good Inc. does not pay any of our associates at minimum wage. Our expectation is to be competitive in the market place for all roles whether they be part-time or full-time positions.
