Pros

AlphaSights sets you up, very rapidly, with a limitless array of skills, allowing you to progress yourself personally and professionally, straight out of uni. You are in control of your own successes, will support and guidance, and equally exposed to clients at a very early stage. Additionally, the ability to be promoted to manager within two years in a scheme that is rare in the working world. Something I really like about this, is the fact that you can only be promoted once completing the associate programme, meaning they only promote from within. I believe the work ethic, fast-paced nature of the role, and skills you learn at AlphaSights are foundational to a successful career.

Cons

The hours are very long (8.30am - 6.30pm) and you have to be in the office Monday to Thursday.

Pros

Rapid Progression & Recognition: Performance is directly rewarded here. If you hit your goals and show drive, the path to promotion and career growth is transparent and fast. Strong Team Culture: The team energy is fantastic. Everyone is highly collaborative, supportive, and commercially minded, which makes for a great working environment. High Autonomy: From day one, you are given real ownership over your projects (like leading recruitment events, managing candidates, and driving partnerships), allowing you to grow your commercial skills rapidly.

Cons

High Velocity & Pressure: The work is very fast-paced with strict timelines and high-volume expectations. It is not a place where you can coast, and you need to be comfortable working under commercial pressure. Resilience is Key: Sourcing and recruiting require a great deal of resilience. You have to be comfortable with rejection and persistent in finding creative solutions to hit your targets.
