Pros

Athletic trainers get to do a lot, depending on what provider they work with. Responsibilities include rooming patients, performing exams, assisting with injections, and LOTS of documentation (you're basically a scribe in addition to performing other duties.)

Cons

- long hours - chronically short-staffed - work location not guaranteed - they "try" to keep you within a "region" but if someone calls in sick you might get sent to a clinic outside of your region on short notice, sometimes even as you're already driving to work - pays less than most other clinics including MHealth/UMP, Twin Cities Orthopedics, and Tria - decent PTO accrual rate, but no paid holidays so you have to use PTO for holidays when clinics are closed. Good luck trying to get PTO approved because of staffing issues they don't approve much PTO - Promotions more based on who you know, not skills, abilities, or leadership qualities

Pros

They offer a good benefit plan.

Cons

Very negative environment due to lack of communication and direction from executive leadership and management. Leader focused on making a name for themselves versus supporting others and taking actions to prevent negative behavior from continuing.
