Really “old school boys” club mindset.If you do not laugh, agree or submit to that mindset , you are labeled a problem or toxic. Twist , you won’t know they think you are toxic, of course, because they will not tell you until they feel slighted. They either gossip about it or they throw the biggest childish tantrum or , my favorite, passive aggressive attitude. There is no fear of retaliation, there is a guarantee of retaliation here.
Oh another fun thing is there are actually people, well I can only say I know one person, who has the time to track other employees … amazing how they have time to actually track multiple people, maybe that’s why they make sure you hear how busy they are , I hear it. Hmmmm…
Once you are aware that you are not “nice”you will always walk on eggshells because you don’t know who’s feelings you may hurt.
They have plenty of women who also agree or enjoy that mindset and just go with the flow, laughter …., some for obvious reasons, they need a paycheck, others really enjoy it, they feel nostalgic, I can’t tell you the reason, they just do.
So to sum it up , If you have the stomach for good ol fashion office jobs, complete with sexism, racism, passive aggressiveness, gossipy about everything and everyone, but they are also a sweetheart and love enabling fully grown men, for what ever reason. And you enjoy being part of a good ol “boys will be boys” club , then this is definitely the place for you , go for it!
If you have any type of open mind or discernment, you will literally get a headache daily, but no judgment here , I get it, you need to pay bills.
