Pros
Great people. Attracts people who are not only intelligent but care about doing the right thing by their clients. The people go the extra mile to be highly ethical and collaborate internally to execute the most successful win for their client. Teams truly care about one another - want to see each other excel. Great training programs. You learn how to do anything in the work force - the true meaning of grinding until the problem is solved in a client centric manner.
Cons
The compensation is terrible. Management receives year after year complaints about compensation being entirely inadequate for the work produced by each employee. This is specifically for those on the low end of the pool making (far) BELOW $250-300k/year. Bernstein employees are responsible for absolute excellence at the detriment of their own personal life obligations - without being compensated accordingly. They also refuse to hire the proper amount of staff for 1 advisor team so there is barely any work life balance.
